On my Macbook Pro, I am using photos (version 1.0) and have selected 'download originals to this mac' to be my master copy, which I will subsequently back up.
Photos on this mac says there is nothing to download, but when I view some images/videos (that were synced from other devices) in photos on this mac it still appears to download the hi res version from the cloud. This is more noticeable with videos.
Is there a way to track progress of downloading of the full hi res content? Or maybe something else is at play?
